General terms and conditions of sale

The present general conditions of sale ("GSC") regulate the sale of products and services through the website www.icharta.com owned by ICHARTA SRL (hereinafter also "the Seller") with headquarters in via Bernardo Davanzati 49, 20158 Milan, Italy. VAT number and tax code 09776590961, REA MI-2112723.

The www.icharta.com site is owned by the company ICHARTA SRL, so are the name and domain.

The GSC set forth herein apply to each recipient of the service or consumer (also known as the User / I Customer / I Purchaser / s) who navigates the site www.icharta.com and also regulates the offer and supply of products and services from the Seller.

Sending an order by the Customer constitutes a distance purchase agreement between the company ICHARTA s.r.l. and the Customer, and determines the rise of reciprocal rights and obligations governed by civil law containing the discipline of electronic commerce. Therefore the GSC regulate every offer, forwarding and acceptance of proposals and purchase orders for products and services, which are made by a User and / or Customer through the website www.icharta.com.

The Seller reserves the right to change and / or modify at any time the following GCS, therefore, invites Customers to check periodically for any updates made. The Seller has the right to not accept nor process the orders that do not comply with its conditions of supply of goods and services. The applicable GCS are those in force on the date the purchase order is sent and are available in Italian.

Products

The products marketed by ICHARTA srl are made up of original and authentic vintage objects such as,  various types of paper material, both manuscript and printed: photographs, postcards, photographic negatives, slides, prints, drawings, engravings, paintings, new books, used, rare and out of print, magazines and newspapers, prints, maps, scores, manuscripts, etc.

All the products are illustrated and described on the various pages of the www.icharta.com site, and in particular in the specific details sheets of each individual product, where their purchase price is also indicated.

Direct purchase method

Once the Customer has selected through the "ADD TO CART" command, all the items he intends to purchase, he can close his cart following the "CHECKOUT" procedure and thus forward the order to the Seller. This order will be considered as a contractual purchase proposal addressed to the Seller for the listed products, each considered individually. Upon receipt of the order, the Seller will send the Customer an e-mail message containing the summary of the order placed, which certifies the taking over of the order by the Seller.

Following receipt of the payment of the Price, the seller will proceed to ship the purchased products to the Customer and will notify the sending of the shipment by separate e-mail also containing the information regarding the shipment of the product ("Shipping Confirmation") and the document of sale.

The order will be filed in the seller's database. The Customer can access the summary of his order by consulting the "order history" section if he has registered on the www.icharta.com site with his own account. In the event that the customer is not registered on the site and has placed the order as a guest, he can see the summary of his order in the email received from the Seller.

With the electronic transmission of the order, the Customer unconditionally accepts these General Conditions of Sale.

Purchase method with price proposal

For some products sold on the www.icharta.com site, the Customer has the option of offering a different purchase price than the list price. This price proposal must be formulated by the Customer using the appropriate section of the product form using: indication of the price offered and of its email address and subsequent selection of the "MAKE A PROPOSAL" command.

The Seller will receive the Customer's proposal via e-mail and reserves the right to accept, reject or make a price counter-offer to the e-mail address provided by the Customer, who will in turn have the opportunity to make further price raises and so on, until the final acceptance by the Seller which will in any case always be communicated to the Customer by email. Upon acceptance of the proposal by the Seller the contract is considered concluded and the order will be filed in the Seller's database.

The Seller will send the Customer an e-mail message containing the summary of the order placed, which certifies the taking over of the order by the Seller.

Following receipt of payment of the Price, the seller will proceed to ship the purchased products to the Customer and will notify the dispatch of the shipment by separate e-mail also containing the information regarding the shipment of the product ("Shipping Confirmation").

Payment, Shipping and Product Delivery

The Customer can pay for the products ordered, by Credit Card, Pay Pal or Bank Transfer, by selecting the chosen method in the special "PAYMENT INFORMATION" section within the CHECKOUT procedure. Upon receipt of payment, the Seller will proceed to ship or deliver the products ordered by the Customer, in the manner selected by them.For Shipping and Delivery methods, please consult the specific Shipping section (linkable).In the event of disputes, the place of jurisdiction is Milan (Italy)

 

Returns

In accordance with art. 52 of the aforementioned Consumer Code, the Customer has the right to withdraw from the contract concluded with the Seller, without any penalty and without specifying the reason, within fourteen (14) days, starting from the day of receipt of the products purchased on www.icharta.com . To exercise the right of withdrawal, it is sufficient to make the return within the times and in the manner best specified in the special section RETURNS (link).
